Virginia Humanities

This spring, I had the wonderful experience of being a Virginia Humanities Research Fellow, housed at the Library of Virginia in Richmond. I had worked with Virginia Humanities previously as a recipient of grant funding toward the publication of a booklet I wrote called Echoes of Little Saigon, about the history of Vietnamese immigration in Arlington. This fellowship allowed me to take that work considerably further, providing uninterrupted research and writing time related to my book, as well as ample opportunities to learn from the wonderful historians, educators, librarians, and writers that I met during the semester.

Recently, the Library's "Out of the Box" blog posted my piece about some of the work I did during my fellowship semester. Eternally grateful to Virginia Humanities and the Library of Virginia for the opportunity!
